General Information / Arriving to Budapest

It is possible to call a taxi. A new taxi service started its operation at Ferihegy. The new operator, Zóna offers the maximum fares from the airport dividing the city to 4 zones. The suggested hotels and the venue are in the 3rd zone, and the fare is 4200 HUF to travel there from the airport. The taxis need to order after arriving by the exit of the terminals. Arriving by train

pic_KeletiThe most international trains are arriving to the Keleti pályaudvar (Eastern Railway Station). It is in Pest part of the city, it has got both metro and bus connection. To access the metro station follow the signs, go down to the undercrossing by the end of the platforms and across the square to the entrance of the Metro. It is possible to catch a taxi by each side of the station, the exits are found beside platform 6 and 9.

pic_nyugatiSome trains travelling via Bratislava or Ukraine are arriving to Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). It is in Pest also, it has got metro (Nr. 3, blue line) and tram connection (Nr. 4 and 6). To access the tram use the main exit by the end of the platforms, the metro and the taxis are accessible using the side exit by platform 10.

 

pic_DeliTrains from Slovenia and someEuregio trains from Vienna are using Déli pályaudvar (Southern Railway station) which is situated in Buda part of the city. This station has got also good metro (Nr. 2, red line) and tram (18, 61 and 118) connections. Tram and metro are accessible using the stairs in front of platform 1. Taxis are waiting by the stairs and by the side exit by platform 12.
