Excursions
On Sunday, 6 April, participants may choose between three full-day and one half-day excursions.
Full-day excursions are organized to Aquincum (the Roman city of Budapest), Visegrád (the medieval royal centre) and the Danube Bend (a popular tourist destination); to Eger (a well-preserved medieval castle and wine-producing centre); to Veszprém (Archbishop’s Palace, Franciscan Monastery), Tihany (Benedictine Abbey, Iron Age fortified hilltop settlement) and Lake Balaton.
The half-day excursion will take place in Százhalombatta (Archaeological Park, Iron Age barrows, Iron Age and Bronze Age fortified hill-top settlement).
