The conference and the Opening Ceremony is held under the auspices of the Directorate of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Hungarian Ministry of Education and Culture.
18.00: Welcome reception in the Academy Restaurant in the main building of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
Thursday, 3 April

18. 00: Guided tour in the Budapest Historical Museum and reception
Friday, 4 April

9.00 – 18.00: Conference sessions and workshops
19.30: Conference Dinner on a boat on the Danube
Saturday, 5 April

9.00 – 15.30: Conference sessions and workshops
16.00 – 17.00: Annual General Meeting of CAA
18.00: Guided tour in the Hungarian National Museum and farewell reception.
Sunday, 6 April

Full-day excursions:

• Aquincum (the Roman city of Budapest), Visegrád (the medieval royal centre) and the Danube Bend (a popular tourist destination)
• Eger (with a well-preserved medieval castle)
• Veszprém (Archbishop’s Palace, Franciscan Monastery), Tihany (Benedictine Abbey, Iron Age fortified hilltop settlement) and Lake Balaton

Half-day excursion:

• Százhalombatta (Archaeological Park, Iron Age barrows, Iron Age and Bronze Age fortified hill-top settlement)
